Heritage River Hemp marijuana drying

Heritage River Hemp began as a dream. Owned and operated by Tim Rombach and Tammi Brown, they both live on their family farm which their grandparents worked half of a century to improve. This wonderful property on the Uncomphagre River was once a big ranch along the Uncomphagre Valley and river. This old farm still has some of the original bunkhouses and sheds. They are determined to try and keep this piece of their heritage along the river as an old farm even though it is being surrounded by new developments and the ever-expanding city. Thus the dream began by making this small farm self sustaining, which meant finding a ‘value added’ product that would allow them to make the old farm a productive farm again.

The hemp is grown on their farm in Montrose County, Colorado, processed in-house, and manufactured on location.

Tim with his culinary training and background in business and marketing has been making goat milk lotions and creams for years. He had a wholesale market for his goat milk lotions with a Russian skin care company. Tammi grew up on the farm raising goats and making numerous goat milk products and later received her BS in Agriculture with a Concentration in Horticultural Science from Colorado State University. After working for the USDA Agricultural Research Services National Seed Storage Laboratory for several years in the Clonal Lab, she returned to the farm to help her ailing grandparents.

After experiencing all the health benefits of natural farm-raised goat milk, honey, and then the benefits of Full Spectrum Hemp Extract, they decided that they could make a product that combined the many wonderful benefits of goat milk, honey and Full Spectrum Hemp Extract. Heritage River Hemp was born!

Heritage River Hemp became a registered member of the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Industrial Hemp program and began growing registered hemp.

If you’re a newbie to the hemp/marijuana industry, first Heritage River Hemp welcomes you to our site, and second, we hope you come to an understanding of how beneficial hemp-infused products are. Here are some basic FAQ’s to ease your worries:

1. Will using topical skin care products get me high?
The short answer is no. Full Spectrum Hemp Extract is not THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, the chemical in marijuana that causes a person to get high). CBD is nonpsychoactive and is often celebrated for its medical benefits.
2. Is Full Spectrum Hemp Extract legal in my state?
Growing, cultivating, and harvesting Full Spectrum Hemp Extract is legal in our state (Colorado) but it’s best to be aware of your state’s laws.
3. Will using topical skin care products make me smell like weed?
No. As a matter of fact, our products are infused with other natural fragrances which allow for the benefits of Full Spectrum Hemp Extract without the odor.
4. Can anyone use your Full Spectrum Hemp Extract-infused skin care products?
Yes, even children! Again, not to sound like a broken record, but our products will not get you high. There may be associated calming effects, but even then, they would be very minimal. As with trying anything new, it’s recommended to consult with your doctor prior to usage. If there are any other side effects, it may be due to an interaction with another skin care product you may be using.
5. Is Full Spectrum Hemp Extract the same as THC?
No, it is not. While both have the exact same molecular structure, a slight difference in how the atoms are arranged accounts for the differing impacts on your body: THC binds with the cannabinoid 1 (CB1) receptors in the brain (which produces a high) but Full Spectrum Hemp Extract binds weakly (if at all) to CB1 receptors. Finally, the side effects are completely different where Full Spectrum Hemp Extract is well-tolerated and THC causes temporary side effects such as those associated with a typical high (increased heart rate, coordination problems, dry mouth, red eyes, slower reaction times, panic, anxiety, an initial liveliness, and memory loss). One other thing to note is that the average marijuana strain contains up to 25+ percent THC, true hemp can have no more than 0.3 percent THC.
